Number 1 Mahesh, Number 2 Pawan

There has been a never ending debate going on about who is the current number one hero of Tollywood. Each hero's fans have their own reasons to call their hero as the number 1 hero, but we can't give an outright conclusion to it. But when it comes to overseas market, the picture is quite clear as of now.

Superstar Mahesh Babu is the undisputed king of overseas market. His film Dookudu went on to collect Rs. 10 crores in this region, which is only possible in a dream for noted stars. Dookudu prompted overseas buyers to go all out to buy Businessman rights for an astronomical price. Despite earning very good collections, Businessman failed to recover the costs. However, it proved that Mahesh Babu's film can collect mind blowing figures with pretty average reviews.

Pawan Kalyan has been the only consistent star in this area after Mahesh Babu. Pawan's flop films too collected well in overseas if they made it in time for the premier shows. With Gabbar Singh, Pawan showed his power as the film went on to collect over 1 million dollars in reported screens. This is next only to Dookudu feat. Ram Charan's blockbuster Magadheera was a big hit in overseas, but his other films didn't do well. NTR is very weak in this territory. At this point Mahesh and Pawan Kalyan are the leaders of this market. Hope others too pull up their socks and turn 'millionaires' in overseas!
