Interestingly, item songs are losing their popularity in terms of video. Earlier they used to say that heroines are revealing more than these item-girls, so the craze is down. These days, a song that features hot heroine or a costly 1 cr siren is also not doing well with audience. Good examples are Shriya's Puli hot-number and Malaika Arora's Kevvu-Keka. Sources are saying that director Puri Jagan has taken this seriously before planning to revive Telugu item-songs. He wants to redefine the power of these spicy numbers through his 'Devudu Chesina Manushulu'.
Though Puri had the credit of delivering popular item song in Pokiri, his recent item song 'Bad boys' in Businessman failed to get that reach. Insiders revealed that a song from Devudu Chesina manushulu is going to rock with audience visually.
